Lighthouse Student Ministry

Sunday, April 26th at 10:00am

We invite you to a groundbreaking as we build for the future of our Children and Student Ministries.

Join us as we worship and celebrate the start of construction.

There will be only one service on this Sunday held outside adjacent to the current Lighthouse building.  We will have chairs, but you are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, etc. for your comfort.

The Heritage UMC ceremony for our Confirmation Class

 will be held

 during the Sunday, April 26th Worship Service

 at 10:00am

Mark you calendars for Sunday, May 31st!

We will be hosting a breakfast at 8:45 a.m. in Fellowship Hall for all Graduating Seniors and their families.  Also, a special recognition of the graduating students will take place during the 9:45 a.m. worship service.

RSVP is required for breakfast.

Parents, if you have a son or daughter graduating from either High School or College, please contact the Lighthouse Office (727) 797-0703 with their name, school graduating from, and future plans such as employment, military or advanced degree.

We would like to collect a Senior picture of your graduate to use in a presentation. Also, we will use a baby, school or church activity picture if you have one. Please label each picture with the student’s name and it will be returned to you unharmed.

Deadline for reservations and this information to be delivered to the Lighthouse Office is MONDAY, May 11th.

We will kickoff our new series UPSIDE DOWN on Sunday, April 19th      at our usual times;

Middle School BLITZ   5-6:45pm

High School IMPACT   7-9pm

We are pleased to announce that several students from our Ministry are being baptized on Saturday, April 18th at 6:30pm at Clearwater Beach. This is a joyous occasion and we ask family and friends to attend. Meet near the Palm Pavillion.

MS BLITZ and HS IMPACT will kickoff our Easter series “THE CROSS”

This Sunday, March 22nd at our usual times:

MS BLITZ 5-6:45 p.m. and HS IMPACT 7-9 p.m. 

Due to Spring Break there will not be BLITZ or IMPACT on Sunday, March 29h.

The Lighthouse Office and building will be closed the week of March 30-April 3, 2009.

On June 28-July 2 we’ll travel to Panama City Beach to gather with hundreds of students to worship, learn, and have fun. There will be free time for the beach and we’ll experience Shipwreck Island water park. Join us for a great time!

There are 2-3 spots remaining for students to sign-up. We are also looking for adult chaperones to attend this trip.

On Saturday, April 18th from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. all students and parents are invited to help clean up the Lighthouse and Church buildings & grounds. We look forward to each of you being present and helping us Spring Clean. Please bring work gloves, a rake, cleaning rages, buckets, etc. And don’t forget your sack lunch. Remember, if you are going on one of the summer mission trips you may need this workday to complete your community service hours. Please be sure to arrive on time because we may finish early.

We would like to take this time to THANK YOU, our parents and students fo rhte generous spirit, dedication, kind words, service, and prayers that you have given in 2008. we enjoy serving you as well. Our December activities include an Open House for students, parents, and their families on Sunday, December 14th and our annual Christmas fits for Wimauma children and the Attention Home boys!
